Job Description

The Vice President of ATI Academy is a leadership position for a hands-on individual who thrives in a multi-faceted and highly collaborative environment. The ATI Academy is the preeminent center for clinical, professional, and leadership development for the ATI workforce. 

Focused on the three aforementioned pillars the aspiration of the ATI Academy is to indoctrinate ATI employees into ATI’s Business and Clinical Outcomes Culture (The ATI Way) and to provide seminars, coursework, and experience-based learning to ensure the organization maintains a highly skilled and differentiated internal talent pipeline.

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of ATI, this individual will collaborate across the ATI functional leadership and build the initial strategy and foundation for the ATI Academy. The ideal candidate will have a background as a senior leader/executive in professional and leadership development, as well partnered closely with talent acquisition in both a Fortune 1000 retail and Fortune 1000 health care company, whose spans of influence would include multi-state, unit level retail or health care operations.

The individual will shape and direct the talent development agenda for the organization in partnership with senior management. They will also serve as the training and development “champion” and “thought leader” within the ATI organization.

What does it take to fill the role of Vice President - ATI Academy?

  • The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree and 10+ years of learning and development experience in a retail environment within a talent management related human resources function
  • At least 5 years’ experience in developing and leading “Best in Class” learning and development initiatives across an organization in a Fortune 1000 retail and Fortune 1000 health care company,
  • A proven track record of building learning and development programs across multiple locations and levels whose spans of influence would include multi-state, unit level retail or health care operations.
  • Lead the development and delivery of effective, efficient and service-oriented educational and development programs that prepare ATI employees, leaders and managers at all organizational levels to meet organizational goals
  • Know how to navigate organization relationships and have a high level of detail orientation with project management methodology including experience handling multiple key projects at a time
  • Influential, engaging and persuasive in communications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to connect with associates at all levels including external partners Demonstrated communication style that motivates and engages both the head and the heart      
  • Enhance individual and team performance by creating a climate of continuous learning in support of the organization's strategic initiatives
  • Can work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a demonstrate sense of urgency
  • Stay current with trends, research and best practices in adult learning and talent development
  • Ability to think strategically in a complex, ambiguous environment
